Tirupati: Three hotels in the temple town of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, received bomb threats via email, prompting immediate action from local authorities. Police, accompanied by sniffer dogs, conducted thorough searches of the establishments, ultimately confirming that the threats were a hoax.

We will soon trace the culprits, and those behind the email will be identified after the investigation is completed," Tirupati East Police Station Circle Inspector Srinivasulu said.

Details of the threat

The emails were sent to three private hotels near Leela Mahal, Kapil Thertham and Alipiri on Wednesday evening. The title of the threatening email read: “Pak ISI to activate Improvised EDs in listed hotels, Evacuated by 11 PM! TN CM involved."

The message claimed that “international pressure” had increased due to the arrest of Jaffer Sadiq and suggested that “such blats (sic) in schools are necessary to divert attention away from M.K. Stalin family’s involvement in the case.”

Jafar Siddique profile
