Pune: Massive fire breaks out in wooden house, firefighting vehicles deployed

Massive fire broke out in a wada (traditional wooden house) on Sunday in in the Nana Peth area of Pune city. Pune Fire Department, PRO shared the details on the matter and said no casualties have been reported so far and dousing efforts are underway. Pune Fire Department has deployed five firefighting vehicles and several fire tenders are on their way to douse the fire.

Two fire incidents reported in Delhi

On Sunday, two seperate fire incidents have been reported from Delhi. However, no casualities occurred in both the cases. The first fire broke out in a park near a society in the Geeta Colony area of Shahdara around 6.24 pm.

Three fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot. Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control swiftly, preventing any damage to nearby properties.

The second incident occurred shortly after in the Shaheen Bagh area, where a fire was reported in the bushes of an empty plot. The fire department received the call at 6:37 pm and promptly dispatched a team to the site. However, reason behind both fire is uncertain as of now.

Fire behind the Police Training School 

Other than the other two aforementioned fire incidents, a huge fire broke out in a storage area (Malkhana) behind the Police Training School in the South district near Khajuri Khas. A total of seven fire tenders responded to the incident and managed to control the fire by 6 am. "A fire broke out today wee Hours in the malkhana located behind PTC Wazirabad in the South District, near Khajuri Khas, Delhi. A total of seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot after receiving the alert. The blaze was brought under control by 6:20 am, though cooling operations were still underway", Delhi Fire Service said in a statement.
