Rhea Chakraborty was questioned by the CBI for the fouth day today and Shruti Modi was grilled for the first time. Neeraj, Keshav and Sidharth Pithani were also questioned. Goa hotelier Gaurav Arya was questioned by ED about his alleged chats with Rhea.
Rhea Chakraborty questioned for the fourth day by CBI in Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case
Rhea Chakraborty was questioned for the fourth day today, again for 9 hours, by the CBI. The actress was questioned for nine hours along with her brother, Showik Chakraborty, on Sunday. Days after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) booked Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya in a drug case, he appeared before the ED on Monday for questioning in connection with the money laundering probe related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. According to a senior ED official, Arya, the owner of Hotel Tamarind and Cafe Cotinga in Goa, was questioned about his alleged chats with Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea, where the two are discussing drugs. The ED official said that he was also asked about financial dealings with Rhea and her brother Showik.
On Sunday, the actress appeared before the CBI and was grilled for eight hours on issues including the medical treatment and medicines administered to Sushant and mention of drugs in her chats. On Monday, she has been summoned again as her answers were said to be “not satisfactory”. The Jalebi actress is being quizzed by CBI’s Superintendent of Police Nupur Prasad.
On the other hand, Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya has also been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He reached ED office today at 10:30am along with the required documents. Arya’s name figured in deleted WhatsApp chats of actress Rhea Chakraborty that ED retrieved. Gaurav arrived in Mumbai on Sunday to join the probe in the alleged drugs and money laundering angle. While Rhea Chakraborty has not been summoned in the alleged drugs angle by NCB yet. The team will decide today when to ask the actress and others to appear for interrogation.
