PM Modi at Global Investors Summit: 'India emerging as top supply chain for global aerospace firms'

Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal and unveiled 18 policies of the Madhya Pradesh government on industry, startups, and more. During the event, he said the government will make Madhya Pradesh an investment hub soon. PM Modi, during the event, said India is emerging as the top supply chain for global aerospace firms. "I am delighted to welcome you all in this land of Raja Bhoj. Many investors from various fields have come here today. This event is very important in making the journey from a developed Madhya Pradesh to a developed India," he said.

Prominent industrialists taking part include Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, Godrej Industries Limited Chairman and MD Nadir Godrej, Rasna Private Limited Group Chairman Piruz Khambatta, Bharat Forge Limited Chairman and MD Baba N Kalyani, Sun Pharmaceuticals Limited Global Head of Operations Rahul Awasthi and ACC Limited CEO Neeraj Akhouri.

PM Modi further said for the first time in the history of India, such an opportunity has come when the whole world is so optimistic about India. "Be it the common people, economic policy experts, various countries or institutions, everyone has great expectations from India. The comments that have come in the last few weeks are going to boost the enthusiasm of every investor in India. Just a few days ago, the World Bank said that India will remain the world's fastest-growing economy in the coming years. A representative of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) said the future of the world is in India. A few days ago, an organisation of the UN on climate change called India a superpower of solar power. This organisation also said that while many countries only talk, India shows results," he said.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday felicitated PM Modi as he arrived to inaugurate the "Invest MP Global Investor Summit" (GIS) 2025.

Speaking at the event, CM Mohan Yadav said, "It is our good fortune that in the presence of PM Modi, the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors' Summit is being organised. There are huge opportunities for development and investment in Madhya Pradesh."

He said PM Modi has given the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas', and under the leadership of PM Modi, the people of the nation have resolved to make 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. He further added that the state of Madhya Pradesh is committed to playing a major role in fulfilling PM Modi's resolve.

Adani says India has been reshaped forever under PM Modi

Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2025: Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani says, "It is a privilege to attend the Global Investors Summit 2025 here in Bhopal. Under the Prime Minister's visionary leadership, India has been reshaped forever. You have transformed our country from a nation that once followed global trends to one that now defines them. Your initiatives, like Make in India, Digital India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat, have propelled our economy into an era of self-reliance and innovation."

What did officials say on Global Investors Summit?

With the organisation of the historic summit, Bhopal has become the centre of the country's largest investment conference, while Madhya Pradesh is emerging as an industry hub, an official told news agency PTI.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two-day Global Investors Summit at Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. He will also launch the industrial policies of Madhya Pradesh and address investors, industrialists, NRIs and start-ups from the country and abroad. The PM will unveil more than 18 new policies of the state, including those connected to industries, food, export, MSME, start-ups, GCC, semiconductor, drone, tourism and film production," the official said.

Before the PM's address, a five-minute video film showcasing the industrial and investment potential of the state will be screened, he said.

"More than 25,000 registrations have been received for participation in the summit. Besides, over 100 foreign delegates from more than 50 countries are coming to Bhopal, including ambassadors, high commissioners and consuls general. The wide participation in the summit is proof that Madhya Pradesh has attracted investors from the country and the world," the official said.

"In GIS-2025, key investment sectors such as agriculture, food processing, textiles and clothing, mining, information technology, renewable energy, urban development, tourism and food will be highlighted. Investors will be introduced to infinite possibilities through various conferences. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will preside over the concluding session of GIS on February 25 and deliver the keynote address," he said.

On the second day of the GIS, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain will highlight the future roadmap in terms of development of the state, which will be followed by a video titled 'Madhya Pradesh - Infinite Possibilities'.

"Leading industrialists will address the gathering and share their vision and experience. During the two-day investment summit, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will hold one-to-one meetings with leading industrialists and discuss the investment possibilities," the official added.
